Andreas is based in Germany and fell hard for Topre the moment he got his first board. One thing led to another: he found the community, started pointing his skills at keyboards, and never really looked back.

He's a seriously talented 3D artist, one of many strings to his bow, and he doesn't do things by halves. Before he'd even consider showing a design, he'd spent countless hours at the printer, iterating prototype after prototype until it was right. People on Discord started following what he was making, and eventually he landed in our inbox with a refreshingly simple ask: "can you make it happen?"

The timing could not have been better. We'd been circling the idea of Topre-compatible keycaps for years, so his was exactly the message we'd been waiting for. We met in person at a German meetup, got on instantly, and decided to give URSA a go: keycaps built properly for Topre and EC boards.

That perfectionism is the whole reason URSA is what it is. Almost nobody makes Topre-compatible keycaps at this level, and Andreas wasn't going to put his name on anything that wasn't exactly right. He'll redo work that already looks finished to us, chasing a detail only he can see.
